Welcome everyone! Today I’m sharing with you how to easily create a Bokeh background using the Bubble Background Stencil from Lawn Fawn.

I have a video tutorial showing you this process that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

Making a bokeh background has never been easier now using the Bubble Background stencil from Lawn Fawn. It adds a beautiful effect to your backgrounds.

I’m going to start by setting the scene of my card by ink blending Scattered Straw, Victorian Velvet, Seedless Preserves and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks onto white cardstock and a mini blending tool.

The bubble background stencil is two pieces that layer over each other. I’m holding the stencil in place using post it tape and then adding the bubbles with Yeti pigment ink. Since this ink stays wet a little longer, I’m going to use my heat tool to dry the first layer of bubbles before moving on to the next layer of the stencil.

After I applied the second layer of the stencil, I’m going to leave the stencil in place and add Moonstone Glimmer Paste over it.

I die cut the layered butterfly from Holographic and white cardstock and layered together with liquid glue.

For the sentiment I’m using Long Distance Hugs which is one of my favorite new sentiment stamp sets. I heat embossed the hugs onto Black Licorice cardstock with white embossing powder and cut it out with the coordinating die. Then I lined up a sub-sentiment on the card and stamped that in Versafine black ink.

To finish off the card, I attached the hugs under the sub-sentiment. Then added the butterflies with foam squares.

These are truly my favorite cards to create!
