Welcome everyone! I’m excited to be a part of the Altenew blog hop featuring the new Paint-A-Flower Camellia. Such a beautiful floral set! While I’m a huge fan of layering stamp sets but I also love having an outline of the image to stretch my wings a little and play.
I stamped my image onto Fabriano Artistico extra white paper with embossing ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
I taped my paper down to a hard board and water colored the image with Mijello Mission Gold watercolors.
After the panel was dry and I removed it from the hard board, I fussy cut around the image.
On a piece of Fog card stock measuring 3 3/4″ x 5″, I ink blended Dusty Concord Distress Oxide ink using a blending brush. I started heavy in one corner and faded off as I got towards the other side of the cardstock. Ink blending on Fog cardstock was inspired by Caly Person and I love how it came out.
I stamped the sentiment in the bottom corner of the card and attached to a white card base by layering up white heavy weight cardstock instead of using foam tape. Then I added my Camellia with a tape runner.
