Altenew Cards

Altenew Bursting With Creativity Stand-alone Dies Release Blog Hop & Giveaway

I’m excited to be a part of the new release from Altenew featuring some beautiful new dies!

My card today is featuring the newly released Just Leaves die. This is such a perfect die set to use either as a focal point or background of your card.

I am using a technique that I seen Jennifer McGuire use which is alcohol inks on glitter card stock.

I die cut the large leaf from my inked glitter card and also die cut 3 more leaves from white card stock using the same leaf so I could layer them together for dimension.

The background of my card has the new Linear Crossroads die that I cut from Fog card stock.

After adhering my pieces to an A2 size white card base, I added a sentiment heat embossed in white onto black card stock using the Statement Flowers stamp set.

If you having to chose just one die to add to your collection, this would be it! Very versatile!

OK, Mindy… NOW I am going to HAVE to get out my alcohol inks and go to town! I watched JMac use hers a couple of wks ago and got them out of a storage container. They’ve been lined up on craft room #1’s desk for that long like little soldiers, waiting at attention. This weekend, they’re in for it. I love what you have done here. A seemingly simple composition made spectacular by the sparkly colored die-cut of the branch/leaves. Superb.
I’ve already told you but will say it again: the best of the holiday season to you and yours.
