VIDEO: My Monthly Hero Kit September 2020

Welcome everyone! It’s time for the release of the new My Monthly Hero Kit. Today we are headed to the pumpkin patch!

I love Hero Arts Heroscapes and this one is super cool because you can create two different Fall cards just by changing up colors.

The Kit contains

  • 6″ x 8″ Heroscape Clear Stamp
  • 5 Coordinating Frame Cuts
  • 3″ x 4″ Clear Stamp
  • 5 Ink Cubes (Grape Slush, Moss, Lemon Drop, Creamiscle, Cup O’Joe)
  • 6 – 5.5″ x 8.5″ Glitter Sheets (Orange, Bronze, Cooper)

This values at $80 and is being sold for only $34.99!! You can become a subscriber or purchase individually. I would highly recommend subscribing if you haven’t already to guarantee yourself a kit because once they are sold out, they are gone! Trust me, you don’t want to miss out!

VIDEO

I have a video showcasing two cards that I created using the new kit. I’ll walk you through a couple different color combinations you can use for layering the images. You can view the video down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

I shared this card with you the other day where we have a beautiful day out in the pumpkin patch. You can read more about this card HERE.

Just by changing up some colors, we can create a spooky night out! I love Fall and all things Fall/Halloween related so this release was right up my ally!

The colors I used for the cornfield are Butter Bar and Caramel. The pumpkin patch is stamped in Moss, Ombre Butter Bar to Orange Soda, Ombre Light to Red Royal & Ombre Brown to Cup O’Joe.

I die cut clouds from Pebble card stock using the Cloudy Sky (back in stock!) and lightly ink blended Navy and Intensified Black ink on the edges. I also die cut a moon from Dove White and ink blended it with Lemon Drop and Fruit Punch Ink to tuck behind my clouds.

The background is creating by ink blending Navy and Intensified Ink onto Lapis card stock. Then I flicked on Gold Glimmer Metallic Ink for stars.

Be sure to pick up your kit if haven’t already.

Next let’s take a look at some of the Add Ons for this month.

While I am not a fan of spiders or spiderwebs, they make awesome backgrounds! Meet the Spiderweb Bold Prints!

This card was created by starting with Amethyst card stock and ink blending Indigo, Grape Juice and Intensified Black Ink around the edges. Then I used the Spiderweb background and stamped it in Sea Salt ink.

I love using the Sea Salt ink for this because it’s very subtle in the background and I’m able to add something else to my card.

I also added flicks of White Iridescent Shimmer Spray and White Metallic Glimmer Ink.

I die cut the NEW Jack O Lantern from Papaya card stock and ink blended the edges with Tangerine Ink. The candles I colored with copic markers to make them extra spooky!

Using some glitter paper from the kit, I die cut the face of my Jack O Lantern.

I finished the card off with a sentiment from the Graveyard Heroscape.

It’s time to get really creepy! Hero Arts has ANOTHER Heroscape this month and it’s a graveyard scene. Let me tell you, there were some very excited team members this month, including myself.

This background was created by ink blending Moss, Pine & Intensified Black ink onto Kiwi card stock. Then splattering the background with White and Gold Metallic Inks.

My super moon was created by die cutting a circle using the Infinity Circles and ink blending Soft Vanilla, Dandelion and Gold inks.

For the Heroscape, I stamped the background and images in Charcoal, Soft Granite and Intensified Black ink.

Creepy right?! I love it! I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but it sure is mine! Do you have any Walking Dead fans that would get a kick out of this?
