Cards Christmas Hero Arts

Hero Arts Winter 2020 Catalog Release Blog Hop & Giveaway

Welcome everyone! I’m so excited to be joining in the Hero Arts Winter 2020 Catalog Release Blog hop! And before I get to my inspiration I have some more FUN news!!

Woot! Woot! I’m honored to announce that I’m now a part of the Hero Arts Creative Team and can’t wait to start sharing inspiration with you.

Now onto the fun!

I have a sweet Christmas card to share with you featuring one of my new favorite stamps, Color Layering Poinsettia Christmas Tree. I made a ton of these trees! For ink colors I used Key Lime Fizz & Green Apple Reactive Ink, Pale Tomato, Crimson and Dandelion inks.

I paired my tree with this adorable puppy from the Fawn and Friends stamp set and copic colored it as close to my dog as I could.

To resemble a glow behind my images, I ink blended Lemon Drop Reactive Ink. I lined up (not attaching) where I wanted my images to be so I could figure out placement of my sentiment.

Using my Misti, I stamped the sentiment from Comfort & Joy Messages stamp set in Intensified Ink. Then I flicked on some Gold Glimmer Metallic Ink.

Next, I’m featuring once again, the Color Layering Poinsettia Christmas Tree but this time paired with the Snowflake Medallion. What I love about this medallion is you can die cut it right into a card front like a window or like I did, die cut it with the circle for a separate element on your card.

I wanted my snowflake medallion to sparkle so after diecutting it from white cardstock, I coated it in Embossing ink and sprinkled on Sparkle Embossing Powder. After letting it cool, I repeated this process. It leaves such a beautiful subtle sparkle and looks amazing in person.

My card front is created from Arctic card stock in which I stamped a sentiment towards the bottom in Intensified Ink using the stamp set Color Layering Poinsettia Christmas Tree.

Then I added the Snowflake Medallion to the front with liquid glue and attached my Christmas to the center using foam squares.

I may not be ready to think about Christmas but gosh I love these stamps and dies!
