Gina K Designs August 2020 Release + Must See Tips Video

It’s time for a new release from Gina K Designs and it is packed with amazing products, as always! I have a lot of inspiration to share with you starting with the new Peace, Love and Sushi card kit. Links at the end of the post for the new release!

If you know Gina’s kit, you already know they are super popular and sell out quickly so don’t hesitate. This one may be my favorite!

VIDEO TUTORIAL

I have a video to share today featuring the Lovely Lotus and Flower Child Stamp sets in the kit. You can view the video down below or HERE on my Youtube channel. I am considering this Part 1 as I have numerous videos I want to share with you using sets out of this kit.

CARD DETAILS

I am sharing a few great tips in my video that I used when creating this card so don’t miss out on those.

This card features the beautiful Lovely Lotus stamp set that I stamped in Obsidian Ink and added bits of shading with my B000 & B0000 copic markers. The detail dots are heat embossed onto the image using Champagne Embossing Powder and then die cut out with the coordinating die included in the kit.

For the background, I ink blended Wild Wisteria, Edible Eggplant and In The Navy dye ink onto Lovely Lavender card stock using a blending brush. I added bits of sparkle by flicking on Perfect Pearls that I watered down with drops of water.

Notice the stitching on my card panel? That is from using the NEW Master Layouts 2 die set.

Another card featuring the kit is using I Like the Way You Roll stamp set. So stinkin cute! I copic colored the images and die cut with the coordinating die included in the kit.

I created a tabletop for my background by stamping the Perfect Pallets onto Kraft cardstock with Chocolate Truffle ink. I also ink blended Tangerine Twist and Wild Dandelion onto Layering White card stock and went back over it with the Ornamental Fan stencil.

Next in the release is Beautiful Butterflies. This set is filled with gorgeous realistic butterflies. I see tons of possibilities with this one!

For this card I ink blended Blue Lagoon and Tranquil Teal onto Sea Glass cardstock. I then stamped a variety of butterflies onto the background using Embossing ink to create a watermark look. The large butterfly is heat embossed in Champagne Embossing powder and then a sentiment added from the Wildflower & Weeds stamp set.

Seriously in love with this combo!

Next we have a gorgeous new floral set called Delightful Blooms. I’m hoping to get this one in a video for you all.

This image is heat embossed onto watercolor cardstock and then colored with my zigs. I used the following colors:

  • Wine Red – 024
  • Dark Pink – 027
  • Marine Green – 400
  • Olive Green – 043
  • Mid Gray – 096

Most of my cards I’m sharing today are layered up using the Master Layouts 1 & 2 die sets.

Something unique and wonderful is also now available! We have the Grow Positive Thoughts. It features this lovely image and some amazing sentiments.

I colored my image with my Karin Markers for more a watercolor look.

We have such a sweet set called Welcome Home featuring these adorable birdhouse. After stamping my image, I masked off the roof of the birhouse, ink blended Peach Bellini and then added the Ornamental Fan stencil over the top and ink blende the same color again.

This next set Wildflowers and Weeds reminds me so much of home. My mom still has a wagon wheel in her garden.

I heat embossed the wagon wheel onto Layering white cardstock with Gold embossing powder and ink blended Lucky Clover over the top.

The leaves are stamped in Lucky Clover and Fresh Asparagus and I used that and the flowers to make an arrangement around the side.

The sentiment I added actually comes from an older stamp set called Tropical Tidings.

Something new coming out today are the Word Caps dies. I love these!! There are a few different ones available including this Word Caps Hello.

Last but not least is the new incentive set.

I masked off a strip on Layering white cardstock and ink blended Blue Lagoon and Wild Lilac. Then I randomly stamped the images from the Take Care incentive set using Obsidian ink.

I finished it off with the Word Caps Friend .

Whew! Hope you stuck with me through all of that and you enjoyed the inspiration!

As always, I love all of your cards. But my favorite two are the ‘friend’ and ‘hello’ card. What did you use for the image? I don’t see it in any of the new release.
