Cards Hero Arts

Beach Heroscape from Hero Arts

Good Morning everyone! Today I’m sharing some cards I created with the Beach Heroscape. Hero Arts has been releasing new Heroscape scenes and I absolutely love them! They have layering images that create gorgeous scenes. Today we are going to the beach!

These cards also work well with the new challenge over on the Hero Arts blog: Build-A-Scene. You can check out more information on their blog HERE.

On one of the cards, I tried to get a little more creative and created a window for the front of the card. This looks like you open your window to a view of the beautiful scene. I learned this from a Jennifer McGuire video that can view HERE.

My first card below, I kept pretty original. I stamped the layering ocean in Pool Party and Blue Raspberry Reactive Ink. After doing some masking, I ink blended the sky with Fruit Punch and Lemon Drop Reactive Ink.

For my beach, I used Antique Linen and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Inks.

I used a variety of images and sentiments from the Beach Heroscape and Layering Sea & Sky stamp set.

The clouds are stamped in Unicorn Pigment ink and the silhouette images are stamped in Versafine Black ink.

My next card is featuring a technique I picked up from Jennifer McGuire and that is creating a window to the inside of the card. This one is a tri-fold card.

For the front, I die cut out a window using the Window Shutters die. I attached a piece of acetate to the back so I could place my window cut out back in place.

I inside piece is my beach scene. I switched up colors a little by stamping the ocean in Aqualicious and Teal Cave ink from Altenew. This time for the sky, I ink blended Speckled Egg, Peacock Feathers and a smidge of Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide inks.

I am so ready to head to a beach like this. Anyone else?

These heroscapes are truly fun to work with and really make scene building a breeze.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!
