Welcome back everyone! Today I’m going to be showing you how to stamp with water using your stencils.

I know it’s been a long time in between posts and I’m so sorry for the radio silence. Here’s a quick little update. Not only has work been crazy busy for me outside of card making but now school is officially done for the summer. Which isn’t much different from the past couple months to be honest.

If you follow me on instagram, you’ll know that my son, who is autistic, has a wiggly molar. This made him to decide to not eat. He went for 7 days without eating! I was on the phone with doctors and dentists to make sure that he was ok, which he is. Finally, he has started eating again but we still have a wiggly tooth. So that has caused a lot of stress for me personally.

Anywho, I’m hoping I’m rounding the corner of this crazy time in my life and can get back to more regular card making.

I’m starting off with a card using Honey Bee Stamps products. I must apologize, the stencil I used is now retired. In the moment of creating I did not look to see if it was available, I just grabbed from my stash. But please note, any stencil would work for this technique.

I love stencils! So it was really fun to use this technique with some of the stencils in my collection. This technique works with any type of ink that reacts with water. I’m using Distress Oxide inks today.

As you’ll see in the video, I ink blend the distress oxide inks onto Neenah White card stock, spritz my stencil with water and then lay it down on top of my ink blended background. For this card, I ink blended Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink.

In a mini mister, I mixed water and Perfect Pearls and spritzed that onto my stencil. This leaves between not only the oxidation look but some beautiful shimmer and shine.

Both cards today are featuring the Hexi Pattern Stencil from Honey Bee Stamps.

My next card is using Speckled Egg, Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks. I used the same technique but this one was spritzed with clean water.

I’m also using the Friend Stamp Set and Friend Honeycuts.

I finished off both cards using the Aurora Lights Confetti Collection and adding them with liquid glue.
