If you are not already a follower of The Daily Marker, I highly recommend it. Kathy is an amazing artist but not only that, she hosts the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. She encourages us to find a little time each day to color. I’ll admit that I get caught up in all of my responsibilities and don’t give myself time. Coloring is such a good way to unwind, take your mind off of things and just be in the moment. It’s a very therapeutic activity and also a great way to practice coloring.
Today, I’m trying my hand at no-line watercoloring. This is not something I do very often but I’ve always wanted to. I’ve tried it a few times in the past and like they say, practice makes perfect. So here I am practicing.
I’m using the Statement Flowers stamp set. I’ve used this image a few times recently because it is the perfect amount of space to color an yet the image isn’t so huge it takes over a card front.
I stamped my image in Gina K Designs Warm Glow ink on Fabriano Artistico Watercolor paper. I taped my paper down to a board and watercolored using the Altenew watercolors.
After the image was completely dry, I die cut with the coordinating die.
I added the image to a background I created using a stripes stencil.
