Cards Waffle Flower

Waffle Flower Everyday Paper Release Blog Hop

Welcome everyone! I’m excited to share something new with you today!

Waffle Flower now offers pattern paper! These papers are designed by cardmakers, so expect to see some new and innovative approaches!

For example, Waffle Flower paper pads measure a generous 5.5 inches by 8.5 inches (half-page of US Letter size). They settled on this size to give cardmakers more paper and less waste! Simply fold each page in half to make a standard landscape A2 card. Or trim a page in half to make two A2-sized card fronts. This larger size can also be used for A7-sized cards (5″x7″). The beauty of our unique page sizing allows us to have half-half designs. For more details, visit their paper introduction page here.

My first few sets of cards is focusing on JJ Bolton’s Rainbow Paper Pad which you can use with her matching dies or on their own.

The paper is an 80lb cover weight paper which is the perfect combination of strength and flexibility. Our paper is sturdy enough for cardbases and diecuts but can still be bent and folded for most papercrafting needs.

Here I paired my rainbow striped background with the Outline Love Combo.

In theory, the idea of double-sided designs sound great! But us cardmakers know that it’s not that simple! Each of our pattern paper sheets has the design on one side only with a plain white back. No more sacrificing one pattern for another!

As I mentioned, the Rainbow pack pairs with JJ’s dies as well. Below I die cut the Fresh Rainbow Die from White cardstock and added directly over the rainbow. So quick and simple!

This card is finished off with a sentiment from the Fresh Rainbow Sentiments stamp set. If you are looking to make a lot of cute cards quickly, you’ll get a kick out of these paper packs.

To make sure you have a variety of options, each full-size paper pad has 12 designs. We understand that sometimes you need more than one sheet of a certain design, so our paper pads have 3 sheets per design. To make it easy to keep track of your paper stock, each design is stacked together (not collated). No more wondering how many of each page you have left and running out before you finish a project!

We know how disappointing it can be to take home a paper pad and have pages with crushed corners! That’s why each of our paper pads is bound on one side and individually shrink-wrapped. This improved packaging protects the paper and reduces the chances for damage in shipment. The binding allows for easy tear off without damaging each sheet.

For Waffle Flower’s first release in pattern paper, we have focused on basic patterns and colors that can be easily coordinated for everyday use. The first of these basic paper pads will have 3 color groups (Botanical, Enchanted, and Unicorn) in 2 pattern collections (Dots and Lines).

The beauty of our unique page sizing means that we can do a half & half design. These half & half designs will have mirror designs on one page. For example, our Dots pages will have half white dots on a colored background and half colored dots on a white background. The best of both worlds!

We will also be offering a Modern Neutrals line that has the same 12 basic patterns in each pad, just in different colorways! This is perfect for the folks that love to have exactly matching colors!

Other paper pads like Special Delivery have images that coordinate with our stamps and dies. We love mixing and matching products and now we can pattern papers to the mix!

Very pretty cards Mindy and I have to agree with you on double sided paper vs single…I have come to the conclusion that as lovely as double sided paper is, I am ALWAYS torn on which side to use and feel as if I am wasting it when I do use it…. So instead I tend to hoard it and only use the ones that I definitely only like one side of. 🤣🤣🤣 This is a great idea!
