Cards Foiling Spellbinders Taylored Expressions

Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Plates | Laurie Willison Release

Welcome everyone! I’m so excited and blessed to be able to share with you inspiration using the new Glimmer Hot Foiling Plates from Laurie Willison with Spellbinders. Have you ever tried hot foiling? It’s absolutely beautiful! I’ve worked with it a few times but I need to bring it out more.

Laurie’s collection is getting down to basics. Really with foiling it doesn’t take a lot of work to create beautiful cards and Laurie’s collection is something that can be used on all different styles.

For all of my cards today, I used the Spellbinders Platinum 6 die cutting machine and their Glimmer Hot Foil System. I have to say I really enjoy their system. It takes up very little space. This is something I notice because I have an extremely small work area.

Also for all of my cards, I completed them with a sentiment from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Friendship set. These simple strips make it quick and easy to create multiple sentiments at one time.

First from the new line from Laurie, I’m sharing the Framed Details. This is probably the most versatile out of the entire set. It creates this stunning double lined frame. I foiled mine in Silver and then trimmed the panel down slightly to add to a white card base.

I added some extra flowers I had stamped from the Altenew Build-A-Flower Torch Ginger set to the center of the card. Then finished off with the sentiment strip that was heat embossed in Silver onto Black cardstock.

Can you believe I left so much white space on my card?! Crazy right? But I truly love this set!

This is another plate from the Framed Details set. It creates these beautiful flowing leaves that you can have coming from the top or bottom of your card.

Once again, I foiled in Silver but this time I used Pesto cardstock from Hero Arts. Then I ink blended Fresh Asparagus ink over the top for an ombre look. Did you know you can ink blend over a foiled area? You totally can!

Last but certainly not least are the large greetings. This one is the Sweeping Thanks plate.

This was foiled onto Arctic cardstock using Silver foil.

There are a few other plates in the set so be sure to check that out too. My new goal is foil more and hopefully get it in a video for you.
