Waffle Flower Top 6 Anniversary Blog Hop

Waffle Flower turns 6 today! Congratulations Waffle Flower! To celebrate our design team and guest artists are here to share our Top 6 Picks of Waffle Flower.

It is really hard to just pick 6 from Waffle Flower since they have so many amazing products. While I’m only showing 5 cards, I actually combined a few of my favorites into one card.

Top Fav #1

First on the list is the Fresh Rainbow Sentiments. I love everything about this stamp set from the style of font to the words themselves.

I added the sentiment to a card I created with the new Sprigs die. I had a background that I had created using alcohol inks just sitting on my desk. I really didn’t know what to do with it. So I die cut out the Sprigs from the alcohol ink background and added them to a white panel. I used the A2 Layering die to cut out the panel and add to an A2 size notecard.

The sentiment was a perfect way to tie the card together.

For a bit more interest, I added Cloud 9 Dream Drops in between the sprigs.

Top Fav #2

Next up I’m featuring the Yippee stamp set! The images are so cute and happy! I created a very simple background by ink blending Distress Oxides and die cutting with the A2 Layering Die.

After I copic colored the images from the Yippee stamp set and die cut them out, I added them to my card front with foam squares.

Top Fav #3

If you follow my blog, you should have guessed this would be on my Top Favorites list. This floral image comes from the Bouquet Builder 6 stamp set. I watercolored it with Altenew Water Brush Markers and used the coordinating die to cut it out.

I added a slight bit of interest to my background by using the new Plaid Texture cover plate with white cardstock.

The small sentiment comes from the Oversized Hello stamp set.

Top Fav #4 & #5

My next card combines two of my favorites. Create perfectly cut strips with the Horizontal Stripes die. I never thought I needed one of these until I actually got it and used it. Yes, you can cut strips with your paper trimmer but I am a big fan of the clean, slightly rounded edges that the die creates. Plus they are absolutely perfectly cut.

I die cut multiples pieces of cardstock using the Horizontal Stripes die and added to a piece of white cardstock. I then used the A2 Layering die for a perfectly cut panel. Again, yes, I could have trimmed that down with a trimmer but I’ll be perfectly honest, I am horrible at cutting paper. Some way or another, my edges are always off. I love that I have these two dies to create such perfect edges and sizes.

I added the Oversized Thank you to the front of the card in which I die cut from Gold Foil cardstock. The Oversized Thank You is one of my favorites because I love anything oversized but the Thank You is so versatile.

Top Fav #6

Last up is the Holiday Hugs Die. I only recently got this but totally fell in love with it. It creates the cutest card! It makes me feel like I’m actually giving someone a hug, which right now you know we can’t do lol. So sending a card that is giving the hug for me is so perfect.

Keeping it nice and simple, I added a sentiment to the inside using the Sweet Sentiments stamp set.

As you may have noticed, I actually have more then 6 Top Favs. A lot of these are staples for me in my collection that I use on a lot of the cards I make.
