Cards Gina K Designs Hero Arts Watercolors

Stay Crafty with Hero

The world is crazy right now right?! How do you detach from it all? While I like to be informed, sometimes I feel like I’m in information overload. I was feeling very overwhelmed Thursday night. After watching a movie, I sat down and decided watercoloring was going to be my outlet.

I stamped the Friendship Blooms stamp set in Clear ink and heat embossed with Gold Embossing powder onto Fabriano cold pressed paper.

This is one of my favorite stamp sets. It is the collaboration set from Gina K Designs and Hero Arts. It’s the perfect amount of flowers with the perfect amount of space in the petals.

I watercolored the petals with Crimson Watercolor Brush Markers and the leaves with Lime Watercolor Brush Markers.

After the panel was completely dry, I die cut the panel out using the A2 Layers die from Waffle Flower. The challenge for Hero Arts is to create an encouragement card but I couldn’t quite fit an encouragement sentiment in the little space I had left. So I used this sentiment from the You Being You stamp set from Gina K Designs.

After stamping my sentiment using the Misti tool, I layered my panel onto black cardstock.
