Coloring with Karin Brushmarkers Pro: HoneyBee Stamps

Welcome everyone! Not only do I have a video for you today but I have some exciting news! I’m joining the HoneyBee Stamps Video Team which means once a month, I’ll be sharing a video creating with their amazing products !

Today I’m going to playing with the Up, Up & Away, Blown Away and Mountain Z Fold from their latest release.

You can view the video down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

I love cards with hot air balloons and couldn’t resist playing with the Up, Up & Away set. When I think of hot air balloons, I think of bright colors so I decided to color the image with my Karin Brushmarkers Pro. I’ve been experimenting with these off camera and they are so bright!

I stamped the image in Versafine Nocturne Ink and colored with the Karin Brushmarkers Pro and a paint brush. After the image was dry, I using the coordinating die to cut out the image.

In any pictures I found of hot air balloon scenes, it was always bright blue skies but I decided to change it up. I ink blended Squeezed Lemonade, Abandoned Coral and Dusty Concord Distress Oxide inks with the HoneyBee Stamps blending brushes on my Ranger Silicone mat. Then I flicked on some water and also some Metallic White Watercolors.

The clouds at the bottom are from the Mountain Z Fold Die set. I trimmed the panel down so it was just these billowing clouds at the bottom of my card. I added a little bit of Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink to break up the white a little bit. I also used the coordinating die of the Up, Up & Away set to add some clouds to my scene.

I finished off the card with a sentiment from the Blown Away stamp set. I heat embossed Alabaster Embossing Powder onto Pitch Black cardstock and trimmed down with a banner die. My hot air balloon is attached to the card front with foam squares for dimension and I also popped up the sentiment with black foam squares.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration and will join me each month!

Love, love, love it. The hot air ballon is so bright and I love how you added the clouds. Question-why did you use Versafine Clair ink pad instead of regular Versafine? And is the whole card watercolor paper or just the balloon? Thanks
