Cards Copics Neat and Tangled

Butterfly Beauty from Neat & Tangled

Welcome back everyone! I hope you had a wonderful start to your week. Today I am sharing more inspiration using the February Release from Neat & Tangled.

The design of these butterflies on the new Butterfly Beauties is so gorgeous! The jewel in the center makes a great focal point too.

Coloring them can seem a little overwhelming so today I kept the coloring very simple. I stamped the image in copic friendly ink. Then, I colored with copic markers but instead of coloring each line individually, I colored the entire image at once. I kept the darkest towards the body of the butterfly and the lightest on the edges. I used the colors E59, E39, RV29 and R35. To add contrast, I went over some of the areas with a 110 copic marker.

For the background, I wanted to keep it subtle. I stamped the Heartfelt Thanks image onto Fog card stock with Jellyfish Ink. Then mounted to a white card base.

I also used the Geometric Coordinating die to cut out a diamond from Gold Glitter card stock and added to the center of the card. Before attaching my butterfly with foam squares, I stamped a sentiment from the Butterfly Beauties stamp set.

To add just a touch of shimmer, I went over the black areas of my butterfly with the Midas Touch Aqua Shimmer pen.

Can you have too many butterfly stamps in your collection? Absolutely not. This set is begging to be added to your stash.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration.
