Alcohol inks Cards Jennifer Mcquire Neat and Tangled

Alcohol Pearls Rainbow – Neat & Tangled

Welcome back everyone and Happy New Year! First I want to thank you all so much for all the love and support I’ve received this past year. You and your comments mean the world to me.

I took some time this past month to just relax so I haven’t been crafting as much. Well… at least not in cards. I have been working on a December Daily album to document memories from the holiday season. I’ll be sharing it once it’s complete which I’m determined to do this time.

This month I’ll also be traveling to Phoenix, Arizona for Creativation which is a huge trade show for companies in the crafting community. I’ll be helping with make-n-takes for The Stamping Village and Picket Fence Studios. Then I’ll be roaming to check out what’s coming out this next year and say hello to the companies that I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with this past year. I’m very excited for this trip !

Anyway, onto my first card of the year. It felt great to throw a rainbow into my card making. A few weekends ago, I was playing with alcohol inks and using a Swiping Technique that Jennifer McGuire showed a while back, I created a bunch of backgrounds. This is one of them which came out beautifully using Alcohol Pearl Inks.

Since I was creating this project weeks after playing with the inks, the Yupo paper was nice and dry. I prepped it with an anti-static powder tool and stamped the image from Moon Magic using Versafine Black Ink. Then sprinkled on Clear Embossing Powder and heat set.

I also stamped out some clouds using the To The Stars stamp set onto Neenah Solar White card stock and die cut out with the coordinating die. The sentiment is from the Moon Magic set, in which I heat embossed in Alabaster embossing powder onto Black card stock and trimmed out with my paper trimmer.

To create my card I trimmed the alcohol ink panel down to 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ and layered to a card front with white card stock. I added the clouds with a tape runner and the sentiment with foam squares for a little dimension.

I love making Christmas/Winter cards but it was so refreshing to play with bright, rainbow colors! I hope you enjoyed today’s card.

Have a fantastic New Year and thank you for joining me today.
