The Hardest Part ….. – Picket Fence Studios

Welcome back everyone! Thank you for stopping by. Today I have a card to share using products from the Picket Fence Studios November Release and a little story how I create my projects.

I love making a scene around the ‘bun’ girls. Sometimes those scenes don’t always come to me right away. I had the new release spread out all over my desk. Some pieces I had colored and die cut while others were just the stamp set. All mixed together, laying on top of one another.

I had walked away to do some housework and when I came back, there was a pile that stuck out to me. The Italian Bun stamp set was mixed around the Blank Journal and some images I had colored. That’s when the idea hit me. She is my artist trying to start a project – just like me.

The sentiment is so true. The hardest part is beginning and it truly is. We just need to dive in, get our fingers inky and let it all play out. Sometimes we need the stamps to show us the way.

Don’t be afraid to throw away a piece of paper. If something isn’t working the way you want, try again. I can’t count how many times that has happened to me but…. I learn from it. I figure out what I like and didn’t like about it and work from there.

In this case, I stamped the Blank Journal using Black ink and a little color to it with copic markers. The watercolor bottles are from the stamp set Work for Watercolor and then I added my Italian Twist image. I had stamped the Italian Twist in black ink, colored with copics and die cut out. I used E04, E11, E21, and E00 for the neckline and E49, E19, E39 and E13 for the hair.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration. All of these products are now available at Picket Fence Studios.

Great card! You’re so right, sometimes we just have to start and see where it goes from there.
