Cards Christmas My Favorite Things

My Favorite Things November Release

Welcome everyone! I’m excited to share with you some inspiration today using the new release from My Favorite Things!

First we have this adorable new set called Snow Buddies! I stamped my images in copic friendly ink onto Neenah Solar White card stock and colored with copic markers.

I used the coordinating die to cut them out with my Spellbinders Platinum 6 die cutting machine.

For my background, I ink blended Wilted Violet and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink onto Bristol Smooth card stock. Then splattered with gold paint from the Starry Sky Gansai Tambi collection.

I trimmed the panel down and added to a white A2 size notecard.

I also used the new Snowy Hillside die to cut out some hills and trees to attach to my background.

I added my images and finished off with a sentiment from the Snow Buddies stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in embossing ink onto Black card stock and heat embossed white embossing powder.

My next card features the new Party Lights set. The stamp set comes with multiple strings of lights that you can stamp across your card front and stamp different colors of lights.

For my card, I heat embossed the string in Gold embossing Powder. I used the coordinating die and cut it from various colors of glitter card stock and added to my strings.

I finished off the card with a sentiment from the Bitty Holiday Wishes set that I heat embossed in white onto Passionate Pink card stock.

You can never have too many snowflake stamp sets. Here I’m using the new Serene Snowflakes stamp set. I love the design of these flakes!

On a piece of Silver card stock I stamped my images in embossing ink using my Misti tool. Then I heat embossed with Silver embossing powder.

For more dimension and because I love the look, I stamped and heat embossed my images a second time. That’s one of the beauties of having a Misti tool.

I stamped a variety of sentiments from the Bitty Holiday Wishes set onto Nautical card stock with embossing ink. Then heat embossed Silver embossing powder to match my card front.

I trimmed the sentiments down to thin strips with my Tim Holtz trimmer and added to my card front with foam tape.

I finished off the card by adding Iridescent Bubbles to the center of the snowflakes with some liquid glue.

Check out that dimension on the snowflakes! That’s from adding a second layer of embossing powder.

Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!
