I have a video featuring the American Bun girl that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

CARD DETAIL

Picket Fence Studios carries a variety of this style of stamp and the newest addition is American Bun Girl. I envisioned her looking out to the ocean so I created a scene for her. This actually came to me from my recent trip to California. I remember looking out over the balcony of a restaurant I was at and saw this beautiful landscape out in front of me. Too bad my hair doesn’t look as girl as this stamp set lol.

I stamped my image onto Neenah Solar White card stock using Picket Fence Studios Black Hybrid Ink. Then I colored with my copic markers. I used E27, E25, E23, E21 for the hair and E04, E11, E21, and E00 for the neck. Once colored, I used the coordinating die to cut out the image.

I masked off my skyline using Masking Tape and then ink blended Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet using my Life Changing Blender Brushes. I removed the mask and lined it up over my ink blended area to mask that portion off so I could ink blend an ocean. I used Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch for my water.

After removing the mask, I placed a piece of paper over my water to cover it up. I put a couple drops of Rose Gold Metallic Ink onto my glass surface, mixed with a bit of water and flicked onto my sky background. It adds just enough sparkle without taking away from the blending.

Once the background was dry, I stamped this large, amazing sentiment from the I Freaking Love You stamp set, also a new release. Using my Misti tool, I stamped it in Versafine Black ink. I finished off by adding my image to the card front using foam squares.

My next card is so precious! For this card I’m featuring the BFF Ballerina Friends. I stamped the images onto Neenah Solar White card stock 80lb. with Picket Fence Studios Hybrid Ink. Then colored with copic markers and used the coordinating die to cut them out.

I masked off an area to look like a spot light coming down from the top center of the card. Then I ink blended Scattered Straw and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide inks.

After removing the mask, I ink blended Spun Sugar around the outside of the spot light.

Once the panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment from the new stamp set It’s Peopley Out There in Versafine Ink. I added my images to the card panel using a dot runner and foam squares.

To finish off the card, I added a few stars around my dancers and the spot light.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration! I’ll have more to share later this month using the new release.
