CARD DETAILS

Have you ever used Washi Tape for your cards? It’ so easy and looks amazing! Altenew has released quite a few different styles of Washi Tape that you can use on your home decor or, like I had used it, on your cards.

My first card is featuring the Calming Bouquet Washi Tape. It has a gorgeous floral print on it. I attached a piece to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ white card base and trimmed off the excess. Bam! You card is almost done. If you are looking to mass produce cards or need something quick, this is the way to go!

For this particular card, I trimmed my panel down to 3″. I had also added the Gradient Lines Washi Tape to a piece of white card stock and trimmed down a 1/2″ strip. I added this gradient strip under my floral design. Then stamped a sentiment from the Bright Blossoms stamp set at the bottom of the card in Obsidian ink.

It’s so easy, I almost feel guilty….. almost.

My next card features the Gradient Lines Washi Tape. I added this washi tape to a piece of white card stock and trimmed down to 3 3/4″ x 5″. I attached to a white card base with craft foam for dimension.

I added the floral image from the Japanese Mum to the bottom corner and tucked a sentiment underneath. The sentiment comes from the Bright Blossoms stamp set in which I heat embossed in Gold Embossing Powder onto Passionate Pink card stock.

Also a part of this release are stencils! Yeah for stencils! This one is the Linear Center with this gorgeous design.

I sprayed the back of my stencil with Pixie Spray which is a low tack adhesive spray and will hold my stencil in place while I ink blend two colors that I completely forgot to write down.

Using the Mega Greetings 2 stamp set, I die cut the word YOU from black card stock 3 times and layer together with liquid adhesive. Before attaching my die cut to the card, I stamp my additional word straight to the card front with Obsidian Black Ink.

Now we have this amazing layering stencil Classic Pine A and Classic Pine B. It’s seriously like magic watching this come together. You could make these into a holiday cards or any occasion really.

I first stenciled my greens with Classic Pine Stencil A. I then added the pine cones with Stencil B but after I ink the image, I leave it in place and add a layer of Moonstone Glimmer Paste over the top for some sparkle.

After it was dry, I trimmed down to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and attached to a white card base using craft foam. My sentiment is from the Festive Foliage stamp set in which I heat embossed in Gold onto some Palm card stock.

For my next card I wanted to try something a little different and that is ink blending on Kraft card stock.

I used the new Rose Bouquet stencil and ink blended Worn Lipstick, Twisted Citron, and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks using blender brushes. I masked off the areas between colors.

I repeated the same steps for my next card but switched to white card stock just to show you the difference.

The sentiments are from the Dahlia stamp set and stamped in the center with Obsidian Black Ink.

My last card today features the Diamond Snowflakes stencil.

I paired this background with an image from the Festive Foliage stamp set that I heat embossed in Sparkle Embossing Powder onto Palm card stock.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration! I had so much fun with this release!
