Cards Distress Oxide Inks Simon Says Stamp

STAMPtember Party!

Welcome everyone! I’m so excited to joining in the STAMPtember Party from Simon Says Stamp! This is an amazing month long celebration defined by Simon Says Stamp as an event intended to inspire, educate, and celebrate the fun of stamping. There will be special collaborations with some of your favorite companies. Today we are celebrating exclusive new products released by Simon Says Stamp.

I also have a special promotion for you that you will find listed down below.

For my card today, I’m sharing inspiration using the NEW Floral Heart stamp set. This is a large 6″ x 8″ stamp set with a gorgeous heart design and many beautiful sentiments.

I started by creating my background by ink blending Dusty Concord, Fired Brick, Ripe Persimmon and Wild Honey Distress Oxide Inks. I’m blending on Neenah Solar White card stock 80 lb with a Life Changing Blender Brush.

Once blended, I’m going to stamp my image using my Misti tool with Versafine ink. This ink stays wet for a little bit so once it has dried, I will trim the panel down to 3 3/4″ x 5″.

To add a little sparkle to the background, I am going to flick on some Liquid Stardust from Lawn Fawn.

My sentiment also comes from the Floral Heart stamp set. I stamp the sentiment onto Vellum with Versamark Ink and heat emboss with Silver Embossing Powder. To give this a little dimension, I will repeat this step three times. Have you ever tried layering your heat embossing? It’s a beautiful technique!

After my heat embossing is cooled, I trim around the sentiment with some scissors. I add the sentiment to my card front by adding some dabs of liquid glue behind my letters.

I will then add craft foam to the back of my front panel with double sided adhesive and attach to a white A2 notecard. Finally, I finish off the card by adding some beautiful jewels around the sentiment and to the center of some of the flowers.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card! Listed below is a special gift for you! Be sure to also visit the Simon Says Stamp blog for more party details that will be going on all month long!
