CARD DETAILS

I have two cards to share today featuring the Build-A-Flower Bellflower. This image looks amazing in any color but I am head over heels for it in blue! I stamped my layers in Sapphire, Pursian Blue, Caribbean Sky and Arctic inks. The stem is stamped in Firefly and Green Field inks.

For my background, I ink blended using the same colors that I stamped the flower image in. I used Neenah Solar white 80 lb card stock and a lift changing blender brush for the blending. I applied very light pressure of the colors working from darkest to lightest, bottom to top. This is such beautiful ombre effect.

I then squished my Sapphire ink pad onto my craft mat, spritzed with water and flicked the mixture onto my background with a paintbrush. Once that was dry, I spritzed my background with Iridescent Shimmer Spray.

After my background was completely dry, I stamped my sentiment from the Fancy Greetings stamp set using the Obsidian Ink. Then added my die cut images with tape runner and foam squares.

For my next card, I stamped the Bellflower in Cosmic Berry, Purple Wine, Puffy Heart and Rose Quartz inks.

I stenciled on my background using the Classy Stripes stencil with Pure Graphite ink. I kept a very light hand and had it fade off the edges. I then added my stenciled background to a notecard I created from Fog card stock.

My sentiment was die cut 3 times from Stormy Sky card stock using the Simply Friend die. I layered them together with liquid glue for dimension.

I like this bright pop of color on the light gray background. Really makes those flowers stand out.
