VIDEO DETAILS

I have a video walking through this stamp set and creating 2 cards from start to finish. You can view the video down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

I had a lot of fun with this stamp set. I was so thrilled to see the stamp sets now have the layers numbered in order! Oh my gosh so easy to stamp! Altenew also provides in the Camellia Japonica set a booklet to show you how to stamp the layers and tons of examples.

My first card is very bright. Are you surprised? It just wouldn’t be me if I didn’t get bright and crazy with my cards. I sprayed the Kaleidescope A stencil with Pixie spray and attached to a piece of white card stock. Then stenciled on the design with Rose Petal Ink Set using blending brushes.

After removing the stencil, I lightly went over the background with the same in colors to soften the background.

My flowers were stamped using the Golden Sunset Ink set and die cut out with the coordinating die using my Spellbinders Platinum machine.

My next card has beautiful ink blended background. I used Lagoon and Ultramarine inks then spritzed with Iridescent Spray for a shimmery look. I was able to stamp a sentiment directly onto the background using the Obsidian ink.

This flower can look good in any color (which you’ll see shortly) but I went for some pinks on this one. I used the Cherry Blossom set to stamp my layers.

The next card is more traditional. I stamped my images in the Glacier Caves ink set. My leaves I used Green Valley ink set and Tropical Forest ink set. I love that Altenew makes it so easy to layer with their inks.

For my background, I smeared Sapphire ink onto my glass mat and spritzed with Iridescent Spray. I mixed together and flicked it off of an acrylic block to create interest. Then added some jewels for a little sparkle.

When I first get a layering stamp set, I stamp it in a variety of colors. I love them in any color but I use the colors that call out to me the most. I had so many extra from this little experiment that I decided to use them all! I just layered them all over a card panel and trimmed off any that were over-hanging.

So even by experimenting, I created a card. It’s a bit busy yes, but I couldn’t let them go to waste.

I just added the Big Thanks die cut onto the front to finish off the card.

I hope you enjoyed all of the inspiration I shared. Don’t forget to head to Kelly’s blog next!
