Cards Gina K Designs

Rainbow Glitz Glitter Gel

Welcome everyone! I have something fun and colorful to share today. Did you know that Gina K Designs & Thermoweb Glitz Glitter Gel comes in a rainbow of colors? Well it does and we are going to have some fun with it today! I’ll also show you how amazing it looks on dark card stock too!

VIDEO DETAILS

I have a video showing you how I created these cards that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel. Supplies are listed at the end of this post or in the video description on Youtube.

CARD DETAILS

I’m showing you two different examples today. My first card is applying a rainbow of colors to Neenah Solar White card stock 110 lb. using the Sun Spots Stencil. I actually didn’t even use all the colors of Glitz Glitter Gel because there are so many amazing colors.

I used Bubble Pink (you could also use Red Velvet), Sweet Mango, Gold, Grass Green, Turquoise Sea and Wild Lilac. I held my stencil in place with some Pixie Spray and then attached my stencil/card stock to a glass media mat with purple tape.

I’m going to apply the glitz glitter gel with a spatula in a diagonal pattern across my card.

Once I remove the stencil, I reveal this amazing rainbow background! Makes my heart go pitter patter.

My next card is using the same colors of glitz glitter gel but this time onto Black Onyx card stock. WOW! This came out so awesome!

I die cut the word Hugs from white card stock three times using my Spellbinders Platinum machine. This is a great manual die cutting machine. I like to pull it out because it’s easy to take on and off my desk to save space when creating. It also folds up so I can tuck it away on my shelf when it’s not in use.

I also die cut the word Heart from Black Onyx card stock three times and layered together with Connect Glue.

I die cut a circle from Vellum using the Double Stitched Circle die. I’ll add my die cut words to the center of the vellum circle and then adding glue right behind the die cut words on the back of the vellum, I can add this to the center of my card front. I like to stack blocks or Glitz Glitter Gel containers on top to add pressure and help adhere to my project.

Aren’t these just amazing! So heavenly!

It’s a little funny because I had these sitting on my desk and my daughter walks through and says “oooo those are pretty!” . I’m glad she thinks so because they are for her. She’s heading off to camp for a week! I wrote a special note inside of each one and one of the cards I tucked in her duffle bag. The other card I will leave at camp for them to give her during the week. We are going to miss her so much!

Hope you enjoyed today’s projects.
