VIDEO DETAILS

I also have a video showcasing these new products that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel. I’m also focusing on different ways of using the Altenew Inks.

CARD DETAILS

For my first card, I’m using the Color Wheel Die. This is a very large die that you can either use as a focal point on your card or like I did, cut it out multiple times from white card stock and make your own background design.

I ink blended Marigold, Chamomile, Hydrangea, Carribean Sky, Parrot, and Coral Bliss Altenew Ink with a life changing blender brush. I will admit, I was quite surprised how well the inks blended.

I attached the Color Wheel die cuts to my ink blended panel with spray adhesive and trimmed off the excess. I cut my panel down to 3 3/4″ and added to a white note card. The beautiful script sentiment is from the Fancy Greetings stamp set, stamped in Obsidian Black pigment ink. This black is so striking!

I love a good background die. This one has so many possibilities. This next card is using the Dainty Blooms Cover Die. I die cut it 3 times from white card stock and adhered together with spray adhesive. I know spray adhesive is not everyone’s cup of tea but I like it for its convenience. I do take this to a well ventilated area or outside to spray.

For this background, I ink blended Vineyard Berry, Coral Bliss, and Chamomile. Then added the die cut panel to my ink blended background. For my sentiment, I used the Ornate Foliage stamp set. I stamped the sentiment onto black card stock with the Antique Gold pigment ink. This gives the look of heat embossing without actually heat embossing.

Another great background die being released is the Delicate Mandala Die. This is very detailed and intricate. I decided to dig out my Gemini Foil Press. I foiled the Delicate Mandala onto black card stock with gold foil.

I die cut the Simply Friend word from white card stock 3 times. Keeping one of the words in the negative space, I ink blended Purple Wine and Puffy Heart Altenew ink for an ombre look. I attached my layered die cut to the front of the card and added a sentiment from Halftone Hearts that I stamped in Antique Gold Pigment ink.

Another amazing part of this release is the Layered Stars Die. I die cut multiples of the layered stars from Silver, Gold and Pixie Dust Glitter card stock. I layered them together using liquid glue.

My background was created by ink blending Rubellite, Midnight Violet, and Sapphire. I die cut the Mega Thanks from Tonic Black Glitter card stock and layered on top of white card stock by off setting it.

Last but certainly not least is the Virginia Rose 3D Die. I have tons of card stock but nothing that layers up in colors quite like the Altenew inks. So I created my own colors of card stock. I used the direct to paper technique where you take the ink pad and apply it directly to card stock to ink it up. I did that using Shades of Purple ink set including the colors Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, and Deep Iris. I also did this for my leaves using the colors Firefly and Grass Field.

After the card stock was dry, I die cut my Virginia Rose from it and layered my pieces together.

The background for my card is using the Dotted Swirls Debossing Cover with black card stock. I stamped a sentiment from the Fancy Greetings stamp set in Obsidian ink onto a panel cut using the Nesting Labels Die.
