Cards Distress Oxide Inks Glimmer Paste Simon Says Stamp

Blossoms & Butterflies – Simon Says Stamp Release

Welcome back everyone! I’m so excited to share with you one of the products being released from the Simon Says Stamp Blossoms & Butterflies release! It’s called Dahlia Corner Frame .This is such a beautiful die! I would quickly snatch it up because I’m sure it will sell fast!

VIDEO DETAILS

I have a video tutorial showing how I created this card shown. You can view the video down below or HERE on my Youtube channel. Supplies will be linked in the video description and at the end of this post.

I’m going to start by creating the background for the frame. I ink blended Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide onto Gina K Designs Layering White card stock. I’ve really been enjoying ink blending on this because it’s light weight and very smooth. I’ll use the Life Changing Brushes from Picket Fence Studios to apply a soft ombre look.

Next, I will apply some Moonstone Nuvo Glimmer Paste to the ink blended area. This will coat my area with a beautiful shimmer and still allow the ombre look to show through.

Once that panel is dry, I will trim it down to 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ which is slightly larger then the die cut frame. This will provide a nice border around the area.

Using a piece of White Glitter card stock, I line the back of it with Double Sided Stick It adhesive. This adhesive is great for dies like this. I won’t have to fuss with adding any liquid glue to all of those cut lines. Then I die cut my frame from the glitter card stock using my Gemini Jr. I’m a huge fan of the Gemini Jr and dies like this is exactly why I bought it. It cuts like a dream!

My ink blended panel is added to a white card base with foam tape. Then I peeled off the backing of the Stick It adhesive and attached my frame to the ink blended panel.

The sentiment is from the Tiny Words stamp set which is such a versatile set and jam packed with amazing sentiments. Using a piece of black card stock that I prepped with an antistatic powder tool, I stamped the sentiment in Clear Ink and heat embossed with Brutus Monroe Alabaster White Embossing Powder. I trimmed the sentiment down with the Sentiment Labels die which is go-to of mine. The sentiment is added to the front with foam tape.

Here is another card I did with the Dahlia Corner Frame die. This time I attached it to a panel I created with Alcohol Inks.

The frame is die cut from Gold Glitter card stock for extra sparkle!

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed today’s cards.
