Cards Hero Arts Neat and Tangled

Flower Garden Copic Colored

Welcome back! I’ve been meaning to color up the Flower Garden Bold Print from Hero Arts and today I finally sat down to play. I really didn’t have a particular design in mind just yet. I just wanted to color these whimsical images. When I had finished coloring, I watched Jennifer McGuire’s new video and I knew that design would be perfect for my card!

For this first design, I stamped the Flower Garden image onto Neenah Solar white 80 lb with Gina K’s Amalgam Ink. Then colored with copic markers. I used Y38, Y15, Y11, YG17, YG23, YG21, RV29, RV 25, and RV23. When I started coloring, I started with all the leaves. It felt kind of like a word search book which I love those too! Once I finished all the leaves I moved onto the pink flowers and then the yellow. I did go over the little sprouts with a BV00 just to add a touch of color to them.

I had left my stamp in Misti and stamped it again onto white card stock with Gina K Design’s Whisper Ink.

Using Jennifer’s Eclipse technique, I die cut a heart using the Nested Hearts from Simon Says Stamp from the center of both panels. I also die cut a heart from white card stock six times. Then I could layer the hearts 3 pieces each using liquid glue.

I flipped hearts so my faint background had the colorful heart and vice versa. I love this design and it was such perfect timing the Jennifer’s video came up just as I finished coloring the image.

For my sentiment, I’m using the Typed Sentiments from Neat & Tangled. I stamped them in Gina K Designs clear embossing ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I trimmed the sentiments down using the Sentiment Labels die from Simon Says Stamp.

Each notecard was created using Passionate Pink card stock. I was going to go with Whisper, but decided for bright and bold and I thought it made the pink really pop from the flowers.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card. This was such a beautiful background to color up.
