Copics Easter Your Next Stamp

YNS Challenge #110 – Pastels

Welcome back everyone! I’m excited to be guesting with Your Next Stamp Challenge #110 and it’s to use Pastel colors in your project.

Now if you have been following me you should know this was truly a challenge for me. I love my bright and bold colors but I think I was able to tone it down for the challenge today.

I decided to create a watercolor background for my card. I ink smooshed Worn Lipstick, Mustard Seed and Broken China onto a craft mat. Using a paint brush I applied a wash of water to a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor card stock. Then I picked up some ink and applied it to the background. The more water I add, the lighter my colors will be.

Once I was happy with my background, I smooshed down some Picked Raspberry, picked it up with a wet paint brush and flicked it onto my background. I trimmed my panel down to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and added to an A2 card base made from Sunflower card stock.

My image is from the So Ewe-nique stamp set and was stamped in copic friendly ink. Then I colored my image with copic markers. I used the coordinating die to cut out the image and add to my background. This playful sentiment is stamped from the Egg Hunt stamp set. To finish off the card, I added a few Pretty Pastel Gumdrops.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration for Challenge #110. Be sure to head over to the Your Next Stamp blog and leave a comment there for a chance to win a stamp set of your choice. Comments must be left by March 27 at midnight and a winner will be announced on March 29.
