Alcohol Swiping featuring Picket Fence Studios

Welcome back everyone! I have some very bright and cheerful cards to share with you today featuring Alcohol Pearl Inks and Picket Fence Studios.

Jennifer McGuire had done a video recently showing a cool technique using the Alcohol Pearl Inks and I have been itching to try it out. Be sure to check out her video HERE for more details. She does a great job explaining the process.

I’ve also had these gorgeous stamps on my desk from Picket Fence Studios that have been begging to be used. I had planned on coloring them with copic markes, which I still may do, but thought they would be gorgeous for my backgrounds.

Both cards are very similar. I created the backgrounds using the technique from Jennifer McGuire with Alcohol Pearl Inks on Heavyweight Yupo card stock. Once dry, I prepped my background with an antistatic powder tool and stamped the image using Simon Says Stamp Clear Ink. Then heat embossed with Taylored Expressions White Embossing powder which is really bright white.

Both of these images take up an entire card front which I love! This one is the Aeonium African Succulent from Picket Fence Studios.

I trimmed my panel down to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and since there was a little bit of warping I attached this to a piece of white card stock measuring the same size with Scor Tape. Then added foam tape to the back of that and added to a white A2 size notecard.

My next card is featuring this gorgeous Lily Bouquet stamp set from Picket Fence Studios. I created this one the exact same way as the previous card.

My sentiments come from the Simple Sentiments 2 stamp set which is a great all purpose stamp set. I stamped my sentiments onto Black card stock with Clear Embossing Ink. Then used the Sentiments Label die to cut them into thin strips.

I added my sentiments on to the card front using foam tape and a few a bit of interest added some White Jewels with Lawn Fawn Glue.

I could have made a ton of cards using this fun technique!
