Alcohol inks Cards Distress Oxide Inks Pretty Pink Posh

Pretty Pink Posh March Release Day 2 + Giveaway!

Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh Product Release Blog Hop Day 2 for the March release! So many amazing products that have me yearning for Spring weather!

Paulina sent me so many amazing goodies! I had a ton of fun playing with them!

For my first card, I’m featuring the Bold Butterflies die cut. I die cut a bunch of butterflies from Pixie Dust card stock and set on the side. To create the background, I ink blended Worn Lipstick, Mustard Seed, Peacock Feathers and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxides onto Neenah Solar White card stock. I’ve been loving the Life Changing Blender Brushes because they give such a smooth blend.

Next I attached my butterflies all around the card using liquid glue. I adhered this panel to an A2 size white note card using foam tape. I’m totally into adding dimension to everything lately.

For the sentiment, I stamped it in Embossing Ink onto Black cardstock and embossed with White embossing powder. This sentiment comes from the Spring Wreath stamp set that’s also new. I trimmed the sentiment down to a thin strip and added to the card panel with foam tape.

To finish off the card, I added some of the gorgeous Friendship Confetti mix using liquid glue.

This next card is featuring the Peacock Friends Stamp set. First, I created my background with Alcohol Pearl Inks on Yupo paper. I applied powder generously over background (once it was completely dry) and then randomly stamped the feathers around the card using Embossing ink. I carefully heat embossed with White embossing powder. This can be tricky so be careful not to melt the paper.

I attached my Yupo paper to a white piece of card stock for support because I did get some warping . Then layered my card onto Black cardstock.

What an absolutely sweet sentiment this is! Plus there are a bunch more beautiful images on this set!

My last card features the Spring Wreath. I kept this one a clean and simple. I stamped the wreath onto Neenah White cardstock with copic friendly ink. Then colored with copic markers and die cut with the coordinating die. I die cut this piece two more times from white card stock so I could layer it for dimension.

My background has some very soft blending on it using Twisted Citron and a Life Changing Blender Brush. I lined up about where my sentiment would go and stamped it with Versafine black ink. Then I could added my layered wreath.

Clean and simple but yet so beautiful! I hope you enjoyed taking a look at the new release from Pretty Pink Posh.

You’ve made some really fantastic cards to showcase the new release! I honestly am having a difficult time picking a favorite because I TRULY like them all!!
Question: You’ve used Neenah card-stock as so many crafters do. Does it really make a difference in ink blending? Is the texture really smooth? I struggle with blending and I wonder if PART of my problem is my less-than-ideal card-stock.

    1. Thank you Denise! I do feel card stock makes the difference. If you are really struggling Bristol Smooth is great to start with because it’s super smooth. If you haven’t tried it yet, I think you’ll love it. I have started ink blending on Neenah Solar white 80 lb card stock but it does take a little more work to blend in my opinion.
