Welcome back everyone! I am so honored to be guesting on the MFT Blog. Today’s card is going to be creating a shaker card.

I also have a video tutorial on my Youtube channel that you can view HERE or down below.
CARD DETAILS

I’m going to start my card by coloring in this sweet little bird from the Tweethearts stamp set. I stamped my image in MFT Extreme Black Ink using my Mini Misti Tool. Then colored with RV17, RV14, RV23 & RV21 copic markers. I used the coordinating die to cut out my image and set off on the side to work on my background.

I’m starting off my background by die cutting my front panel using the Entwined Hearts Die-namics. I used a piece of 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Neenah Solar White Cardstock 110 lbs. and centered my die. I just wanted the window but I can save the die cut piece for a future card.
Next, I’ll take a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock trimmed to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and ink blended Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks. I’ll bring in my window panel just to make sure both colors are visible. Then, I mix water and some Perfect Pearls together and flick onto my background with a paintbrush. I’ll set this off on the side to dry.
To create the shaker, I’m going to line the back of my window panel with Acetate. Then I’ll adhere the Entwined Hearts piece that I die cut from Gold Shine Cardstock to the front so it sits onto of the Acetate. Using two layers of Foam Tape I’ll go around the window on the back side of the panel to form my shaker and also add foam tape to the rest of the backside for support. I add some Sparkling Clear Sequins and attached to my ink blended panel.
I heart emboss a sentiment from the Tweethearts set onto Black cardstock with white embossing powder. Using the Slanted Sentient Die-namics I’ll trim this sentiment down and add to the front of the card. To finish it off, I’ll add my sweet little birdie.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration. Thank you for stopping by an thank you MFT for inviting me today.
