Welcome back and Happy New Year! I’m sharing a quick look at the Spellbinders January 2019 Large Die of the Month. I’ll be sharing more throughout the month so be sure to sign up for blog updates.

CARD DETAILS
These dies are perfect for the upcoming season. They also would be beautiful as wedding or anniversary cards.
My card is sharing how I paired the heart die cut and heart outline die with a stenciled background. I used the Stained Glass Stencil from Simon Says Stamp with Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink on Bristol Smooth cardstock.
I added this panel to a white A2 size cardbase and attached my gold glitter heart mat with foam tape. The sentiment Cherish is also a part of the Large Die of the Month which I cut from black cardstock. This is a very intricate die so I attached it to the front of the card with my Xyron sticker maker.
The XO sentiment from the Simple Sentiments 2 stamp set is stamped on black cardstock and white embossed. Then popped up with foam tape and added to the card. For some added interest, I added Pearl White Jewels around the heart using a jewel picker and Gina K Connect Glue.
My second card in the video is also working with distress oxide ink. I ink blended a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock with Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink. Then Then with a paintbrush, flicked on some Gold Perfect Pearls that I had watered down.
I die cut the heart from some patter paper I happen to have on hand (sorry couldn’t find the name of the pack) and added this to the front of the card with foam tape.
This sentiment is also from the Simple Sentiments 2 stamp set. Clean and simple but packs a huge punch in elegance.
My last card is not in the video but an added bonus of inspiration. I created a shaker window using the heart dies from the kit.
Another clean and simple but elegant card. You could give these out to your loved ones, wedding or anniversary cards.
