STAMPtember Blog Party!

Welcome to the Simon Says Stamps STAMPtember Blog Party!! I have an amazing stamp set to share with you today!
I am so excited and honored to be participating in STAMPtember this year. I adore Simon’s products. They play such a big role in the stamping community and is a company with a big heart!

Once you are done here and have picked up your Ornate Ornaments stamp set, be sure to head over to the Simon Says Stamp blog for more inspiration!

I am showcasing the amazing Ornate Ornaments stamp set today. The detail in these ornaments is stunning and there are so many possibilities for this set. I have another card HERE that you can check out. I decided to keep this one  simple and do some ink blending.
I have a video to show my process that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.
I heat embossed the ornaments in white embossing powder on a piece of Bristol Smooth cardsock. This cardstock is great for ink blending!
Next, working from the bottom going up, I ink blended Chipped Sapphire, Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass distress ink. Then I used Glitter Dust Iridescent spray and heavily coated my background to really give it some sparkle. Be sure to do this in a well ventilated area or outdoors as it does have a strong smell.
Once dry, I added my ink blended panel to an A2 size card base. The sentiment is also from this stamp set in which I heat embossed with white onto black cardstock. The new Labels Wafer Die would be perfect to trim this down to a thin strip.
I then added foam tape to the back and added to my card front.
Check out that detail!
How about a little something special? I have a little deal to offer you today!
Oh my gosh who wouldn’t love a tote with Simon on it?!
Be sure to also head back to the Simon Says Stamp blog for a list of designers who are ready to inspire you! Each designer has a special promotion on their blog. Find the one that floats your boat and start shopping! I know I definitely want a tote bag to carry my craft goodies!

  13. When I first saw this set I thought it was too intricate for me, but, oh my, now you've made me think again, big time. Your card is fabulous! The white ornaments on the gradient blue background just reaches out & grabs me.

  14. Very nice effect with the blended background which highlight these really lovely ornaments. But I gotta say, you are a really good teacher. Somehow you managed to get in all the basics without boring the stand-bys. All the hints and tricks and basic info plus some, all calm and pleasant, all there but not boring as we also got to watch your technique. And not just rules buy “whys”. Nice job.

  15. Love the hombre look of it and the use of the blue to do the background with. The ornaments are great in the white embossing. Great look
