Dragons – C.C. Designs Preview

Welcome back everyone! It’s time for some previews with C.C. Designs!!

I couldn’t wait to use this new set Dragons! Right in my ball park as my friends know I love dragons!

This set comes with 4 images and 5 amazing sentiments which are so clever.
I start off my card by creating a background from Bristol Smooth cardstock. I’m going to ink blend a background using Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide and Dusty Concord Distress Oxide which is one of the brand spanking new colors! Dreamy! I splatter with water, dab and have an amazing sky background.
Next, I die cut some clouds from the Fluffy Clouds Border die using Neenah White cardstock. I adhere this to my ink blended panel and die cut using a Stitched Rectangle die. This way my stitching is consistent all the way around my card. I layer this with Ivory cardstock and attach to a Fog cardstock base.
This fun dragon is stamped onto Neenah White cardstock with Almalgam Ink and colored with copic markers. Then I die cut using the coordinating die.
I couldn’t resist using this sentiment which I stamped onto Black cardstock with Simon Says Stamp clear ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
To add just a bit more interest and tie in my background, I added some Dragon Dreams Enamel Dots which is also part of this release.
Copics Used
BG34, BG49
YG11, YG05, YG25
Be sure to head over to the C.C. Designs Blog for more inspiration! Release goes LIVE Thursday, August 2 at 11am central time.

Friendly Frolic – Simon Says Stamp Release!

Welcome to the Friendly Frolic Release from Simon Says Stamp! I have two cards to share today featuring the Plantiful Puns stamp set!

I adore this stamp set. I’m a sucker for puns and this was perfect for me. Plus I could use my copics. Bonus! For my first card shown below, I stamped this image onto Neenah white cardstock with Simon Says Stamp Black ink then colored with my copic markers. I also drew in my own table for the flowers to sit on.
I masked the flowers and added this fun stenciled background using the Tap Dance Stencil and Victorian Distress Ink. I then die cut it from the Stitched Rectangle Die and foam mounted to a piece of Ivory Cardstock.
I attached my panel to a piece of Fog cardstock that I had trimmed down to A2 size.
Copics Used for the card above are
E47, E37, E35, E31
RV21, RV14, RV29
YG01, G09
B0000, B000, B21
For my next card, I also stamped this onto Neenah white cardstock with Simon Says Stamp Black Ink and colored with copic markers.
I used the same Stitched Rectangle die and layered with Ivory and Fog cardstock.
This fun sentiment is from the same stamp set and I white heat embossed it onto black cardstock.
For a little interest and sparkle I added some Ivory Jewels from Pretty Pink Posh.
Copics Used
V01, V05, V09
G07, YG07, YG01
C7, C6, C5, C4, C3, C1

Stippled Flowers Copic Coloring

Today’s card is featuring some beautiful stamps from Gina K Designs! Join me!
Sorry I’ve been missing in action for while. I’m going to be attending Junkie Fest over in Minnesota and had a lot to get off my table before I could leave for a few days. At this event I’ll be taking some card classes from some amazing instructions like Gina K herself and lots of other fabulous people! I can’t wait!
For my card today, I’m using Stippled Flowers from Gina K Designs. I stamped my images onto Neenah White cardstock with the Gina K Almalgom Ink which is copic friendly. Then colored up with copic markers.
I created masks for my flowers so I could add my leaves around and behind.
Once my images were colored, I die cut my panel from the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Frames. and added to a white card base.
I had actually tried stamping my sentiment in the middle of the card but messed up. To still use my beautiful flowers I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from Grand Greetings with white embossing powder onto Black carstock. I added foam tape behind my sentiment for dimension. For just a touch of interest, I added some sequins from Neat & Tangled.
Hope you enjoyed today’s card! Be sure to also follow me on Instagram as I’ll be posting pictures and maybe some videos from the eventful weekend.!
Copics Used
RV29, RV14, RV13, RV21
BG09, BG07, BG15, BG32

Here’s a fun collage I created of coloring the flower.

Are you going to join in and help us
celebrate ALL the new sets?
Our last stamp set for this month is a
‘one of a kind’ stamp set from artist
Melissa Baker-Nguyen!
It’s called MANATEE PALS!

My images are stamped on Neenah Solar white cardstock with Wicked Black ink. Then I fussy cut my cute critters & images out with scissors.

For my background, I created some water using the Rice Paddies Stencil with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink. I removed the stencil and lightly went over the area just to soften it up. I adore this color to make water! I then partially stamped the sentiment and added the die cut word friend from the Friend die from Simon Says Stamp. I layered my images to my card around the sentiment in the middle.

For a little added interest I added some Groovy Sequins around the card. I also added some Nuvo Shimmer and Tonic Glaze to my Friend die cut.
