Welcome back to day 2 of Sweet Peeks for SugarPea Designs! We having another amazing set to show you today.
This set is called Stuck On You and what a perfect title for it! I used a variety of inks from Gina K Designs to stamp my plants and their pots on Neenah white carstock. Then I used the coordinating die to cut them out and start putting my pots together. I love how you can mix and match on this stamp set!
For my background, I played with some Nuvo Shimmer Powder. These have been sitting on my desk for a while so I decided to experiment.
I’m going to use some Tim Holtz Watercolor paper for this. One side of the paper is smooth and the other is textured. I’m going to use the smooth side. I take some Atlantis Burst and Solar Flare and just lightly tap the powder onto my paper. Do not squeeze!! You won’t like the mess lol…
Once I had some small bits of powder on the paper, I spritzed on some water with my distress sprayer. This is where the magic happens! I really should have taken a picture of just the background when I was spritzing. You can add much or as little of water as you want. Once it dries, it leaves this beautiful, shimmery watercolor background.
I trimmed my watercolor background down to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adde to a white A2 size notecard. I then started to add my succulents. My sentiment is also from this stamp set and I just get a big kick out of it! I heat embossed white embossing powder on black cardstock and trimmed down to a thin strip. I adhered this thin strip to my card with foam squares.
