Howdy friends! I had a chance to make this fabulous shadow box using the new Critter Concert stamp set and Critter Concert Add On for the shadow box. When I picture a stage, I think of these majestic red curtains! Then …. it hit me! Glitter cardstock!!
To start my image, I die cut all of my pieces for the shadow box and the shadow box add on. I die cut the curtains from Crimson Glitter Cardstock and the curtain ropes from Gold Glitter Cardstock. The “stage” is cut from Paper Bag cardstock and the box itself I cut from Chocolate Bar cardstock – both from Lawn Fawn.
The back of the stage I diecut from Watercolor wishes paper pack and added some gold glitter cardstock stars. You have to have stars when working with critters on stage. As you can see I’m a huge fan of this glitter cardstock. It’s sparkly, beautiful and the glitter does not rub off. It also cuts beautifully in my Big Shot machine.
As you can see, I lined that yellow Watercolor Wishes paper on all sides of the inside of the box. I wanted a spotlight effect for my little musician.
I think this raccoon is just the cutest and I love coloring raccoons! I did the belly/mask in the Neautral Grays and body in Cool grays. Then I diecut out with the coordinating dies and added a cute little music stand.
The sentiment I actually used from the Reveal Wheel Sentiments stamp set and diecut out with the Banners Die.
How fun and adorable is this?! I really think the glitter cardstock added a lot to the stage effect!
I have a few pictures available down below that you can use on Pinterst if you would like to refer back to the color combos I used. Feel free to pin these where ever you like! Thank you!
