Cards Copics Whimsy Stamps

Oh What Fun!

Welcome everyone! Today I’m participating in the 12 Days of Christmas with Whimsy Stamps sharing a fun slider card using their stamps and dies. Slider cards are super fun and this Santa was perfect for it! I also have a video for this process down below.
I start out by stamping my images onto Neenah White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then coloring with my copic markers and cutting out with the coordinating dies. Next, I created my sky by using Chipped Sapphire and Faded Denim distress inks and spritzing with water.
Then, I created my slider piece. I die cut a hillside and the slot for the slider IN the hillside piece. Before I add dimension to the card, I stamp my sentiment to the bottom of the hillside.
I will then add foam tape around the edges of the hillside but being sure to leave room for my penny to move freely, which is what I will be using as the slider. I attach a small piece of foam tape to the middle of the penny, place that in my slider slot and attach Santa on the front side . It’s also a good idea to run an antistatic powder tool around the slider slot and foam square so it slides easier.
I can then attach the tree to the back of the hillside piece and North Pole sign to the front. My distress piece of cardstock will attach to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base. I attach a small white strip to the bottom so when my slider piece attaches, it will look like snow behind it. Finally, I attached the hillside with my sliding Santa.
I love how this really makes it look like Santa is dashing through the snow!
