Clean & Simple Bitty Bears – My Favorite Things

Hello Everyone! There is an amazing contest going on over at My Favorite Things blog! It’s the Superstar Challenge!! You can read more about it HERE on their blog. This is my first entry into the contest for the Clean & Simple category.
I couldn’t resist coloring up these little bears again. They are just the cutest and small enough where you have plenty of room to embellish.
For my clean & simple card I opted to go rainbow.  I took a piece of cardstock and applied Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey and Peacock Feathers distress oxide inks. I only used the three colors because by overlapping I created the other colors I needed in the rainbow. Except for purple, poor purple always seems to get the shaft … BUT … I snuck it in at the end.
So once I had my rainbow colors, I die cut the work Smile. Of course, I lost the dot of my letter i.. which actually worked to my benefit.
Using Blueprint 29 (my favorite die!) I cut a piece of white cardstock for a stitched border and attached that to an A2 size cardbase. I heat embossed with white embossing powder on black cardstock the sentiment from the All Smiles stamp set. My sweet little bear with the heart is colored in with copic markers and I fussy cut him out.
I attached all my pieces to my card base, making sure my little bear is behind the diecut Smile. Remember I said I snuck in the purple…? Since I lost the dot of my letter i and I needed some purple to complete my rainbow, I used some Purple Rain Nuvo Glitter to dot my i ! Love it! Perfect finishing touch!
Hope you enjoyed today’s card !
