Cards My Favorite Things Simon Says Stamp

Written in the Stars

Hi everyone! No copic coloring on today’s card but I did get inky! This card is playing along with the Wednesday Challenge from Simon Says Stamp. Unfortunately, I do not have any Impression Obsession stamps but I do have tons of stamps with sentiments. Complete supply list down below.
I love this new set from My Favorite Things.
I created the background by using the distress inks Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch, and Black Soot. I opted for distress inks instead of the oxides because the oxides have more of a chalky look and I wanted something a little more vibrant for my sky. I blended on Bristol Smooth Cardstock as its really smooth and great for blending.
Once the inks were blended, I splattered some water on and added some white paint splatters.
The words Stars in the middle I cut from white cardstock about 3 times from the Shining Stars Die. Then layered them up and attached together using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. I had previously mixed some Perfect Pearls in a small spritzer with water and sprayed a nice coat on the layered word die. Pictures really don’t do justice for how beautiful it came out. The sentiment comes from the Written in the Stars Stamp set that I stamped with Gina K Black Onyx ink and cut down into a small strip.
