Distress Oxides, Stencil & Copic Coloring – My Favorite Things

Happy Hello and welcome back to Monday! I’m kicking off today with a card for Simon Says Stamp Challenge and a new video!
The theme of the challenge was to use products from My Favorite Things and “seeing stars”. The  first thing that comes to mind is a night time sky BUT instead I envisioned a sunset type of sky. I love when you can start seeing the moon and stars before it even  gets dark.
I created my background on Bristol smooth cardstock using Wild Honey, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserve distress oxide. I stenciled in some stars using the Starry Sky Vertical Stencil and Wild Honey distress oxide. Using the Blueprint 29 die I cut out my stitched border. I took a spare piece of Bristol Smooth and layered it with Twisted Citron, Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn distress inks. I then cut a few tress from it using the Christmas Tree Die.
I used this sweet little elephant and hot air balloon from the Up In The Air stamp set. There are so many cute images on this set it was hard to choose ! I colored them with copic markers and cut out with my Scan n Cut machine.  I added my trees to the bottom and cut off the excess and added a couple clouds to the background before adhering my hot air balloon on. For a little dimension I used some craft foam behind my background. Finishing touches of course are the Nuvo Crystal Morning Dew Drops.
