Happy Hello everyone!! For today’s card I’m playing along with the sketch challenge over at My Favorite Things.
I’ve been itching to color up this adorable stamp set called Mermazing. I colored her up with my copic markers and cut out with my Scan n Cut.
For my background, I added some cloud using the MFT Cloud Stencil with Peacock Feathers distress oxide ink. I was excited to try out my new waves die from MFT too! For the waves, I distressed a piece of cardstock with Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean distress Oxide ink and lightly spritzed it with water for the water spot look.
Then I used my waves die to cut the waves at the top. I stamped some cute little fishies here and there just for fun using Faded Denim distress ink! To try and match the sketch, I ran my cardstock with the clouds on it through my Big Shot using the Blueprint 29 die. That gives it the stitched edge. THEN I took that piece and the same die and I placed the die crooked at the top so it cut out that angle just at the top.
I adhered it all to an A2 size cardstock base keeping all my pieces together. The sentiment is stamped on the fishtail die and my sweet mermaid is popped up with foam squares.
